These 90-minute sessions are ideal for those who need a little last-minute help with those high tariffs but tricky topics and skills that will differentiate those students across grades 7, 8 and 9.

After going over the core principles, we will work through several past exam questions together, emphasising the key triggers and patterns which will enable students to spot what is being asked and how they can go about starting their answer.

Students will then work through several more questions independently (asking for additional clarification where required) before we go over model solutions. At this stage, we will also discuss how the mark scheme works to ensure all necessary working is shown for full marks, and also how to maximise marks where a full solution cannot be obtained.

The third part of the session involves going over the key principles and flashcards which students can take away and learn before sitting their exams.

At the end of the session, students are provided with several more exam standard questions to try over the next few days, along with annotated solutions. All questions and example templates will be emailed out prior to the lesson for students to print off should they require a hard copy, or save to their area if they are working on devices.

Students will also have access to videos of the tutor working through the examples in part 1 of the lesson. Access will last until the day after the last GCSE maths exam.
